Got this to use outside for fish fries .. it is very heavy duty and functions well for our outside use.
Excellent very well constructed skimmer.
If your looking for a skimmer that will last for many many years, this is the one to buy.
I'm very impressed with this products quality, sturdy construction and its ability to handle and lift larger or heavier food items without any bending of the handle or skimmer basket. The sturdy long handle is a wonderful safety feature allowing you to transfer food items into and out of hot oil or boiling water greatly reducing your risk of being burned or scalded due to spattering oil or steam.
I find the 5 inch skimmer is perfect for my home size deep fryer as well as for use in all my larger/deeper cooking pots. No way is this extended handle going to end up sliding or slipping down into the cooking vessel.
This skimmer well exceeded my expectations for its quality and construction considering its very reasonable price point.
Love it.
I have one of these in the kitchen. But must admit I bought this one for the cat box. It has a finer mesh that the average cat scoop, allowing you to get the smaller bits. (kittens)
