What a loud kettle
I have exceptionally hard water that builds stalagmites in the bottom of tea kettles (despite vinegar cleaning). I replace mine every two years, so I look for inexpensive ones. This is the least expensive I have found. After two weeks use I have the following comments: It is loud! As the kettle heats and the metal expands it makes loud pop-banging noises. The handle gets hot and you need a potholder to pour. The whistle sounds only when the water comes to a full roiling boil. The offset bottom is high and it takes longer to boil water on a gas stove top. You can't beat the price, though!
Excellent Tea Kettle/ Excellent Deal
The person who gave this a one star didn't order it and didn't know what he was talking about. This does have a glass top so the other reviews are correct on this note. It is a very well thought through product. Well made. My daughter loved it (b'day gift).
Great for the money
We bought this kettle because we had a similar one that we damaged. You cannot predict the color of the handle (ours came in blue). Aside from that we are very happy. Best deal on amazon.
