soft tone whistle- stainless teapot- very pretty
I really wanted a louder whistle so i could hear it in the back room, but it's a soft whistle, and takes a lot of steam to whistle! Stainless is nice, hoping it doesn't rust- not real thick. I empty water each time & let it air dry without lid on. Warning- Never take lid off while it's steaming. You'll burn your hand. AND, if you don't put lid on it, don't pour until you do, or it will burn your hand. That is probably standard for all teapots, but i had to learn the hard way. This is a very pretty teapot- looks nice on the stove. Handle is nice. Keeps hand from getting burned- if you leave the lid on!
Love it, but whistle is very soft
This is a very good quality tea kettle. However, I wonder if something is wrong with the whistle in the lid? It is difficult to hear even in the same room. I almost never boil an entire pot of water. I boil half a pot. But, I am terribly disappointed that I cannot hear the whistle while I am in the other room which is close by. Would I be able to get a new lid to see if that is where the problem is? Has anyone else had this problem?
Great stainless whistling kettle
I was looking for a stainless steel tea kettle with a working whistle under $50. This kettle delivered. It looks like a traditional 'normal' tea kettle and does it's job. I am very happy with this kettle.
