There's a big catch to these lids
I already have the 40 qt version from this same manufacturer. The cover is very nice, sturdy, thick-gauge aluminum. Based on that I ordered two of the 15 qt size for another use. This second use is very size-specific so I made sure to measure accurately. As delivered these lids are maybe 1/16" under 12" wide. They are NOT 12.2 inches across. This is measuring outside edge to outside edge. A more useful measurement is from indented edges as this allows for them sitting on the lip of the pot. By this measure they are 11" (outside) and 10 1/8" (inside), meaning any pot with an opening between those two ranges will accept these lids with a good fit. If your pot is 12.2" across these lids will fall in. Unfortunately for me, I require that extra width.
They are of the same quality build as the 40 qt so that is not an issue. This sizing discrepancy has left me with the option of either returning them and guessing at what size will actually work (and paying more to boot)...
Thunder Group 60 Quart Aluminum Stock Pot Lid
It arrived in good shape but it didn't fit snug on the stock pot. In cooking it does allow steam to escape without chattering.
Stuck in paradise
Took a chance did not have exact demeansions it came out perfect I will be ordering more pots in the future
