Blue Oblong Table Cloth - 52" X 90"

Nice table cloth
Bought this as we can no longer find quality vinyl tablecloth's at stores in the Mpls/St Paul area. Good quality. We use it on our kitchen table. Wish there was a wider range of colors and patterns, but this is nice.

not at all what I expected...and no return possible!!
In the description I thought this was cloth.......no where does it say it is vinyl..... i put in a request for returning the iable CLOTH.....but i never heard from the company again!!!.........

Strong and good looking
We are market vendors at a farmers market and have used cloth tablecloths in the past. We decided to try these in 2012 because our old ones were stained. These work fine. Fold them neatly after use; don't just bunch them up and in cold weather (under 50) the creases take time to come out. They have held up a full year going to two markets a week from April thru October and I expect to get another full season out of them.

8-Piece Pot Set

Ragalta
VERY NICE! LIGHT WEIGHT YET HEAVY DUTY.

8 Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Pasta Pot Set
by Ragalta

Shipped right on time no problems.

It is a 8 quart size pot.
This China made pot is 8 quarts which wasn't be described. Some one rated it was a perfect size because some are too big or some are too small. But I think 8 quarts is too big for the family of 2. The bottom is thin. It's OK to use as a steamer and pasta cooker. But with the price of $29.99 for all of these are good. I haven't used yet so I am not sure about the quality after being used. Shipping was fast.

Good Product
Chose this because it was stainless, not aluminum. Noted previous reviews that complained it was too thin bottomed, but that is normal for a pasta pot so not a problem for me. Was the perfect size, most of the others I found were either too large or too small. This one was just right....lol

T-fal C1190264 Signature Nonstick Expert Interior Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator Dishwasher Safe 8-Inch Fry Pan / Saute Pan Cookware, Black

Great non-stick pan for eggs
I bought this pan to replace an old T-Fal pan that my husband treasured. The old pan wore out, plain and simple. This pan is perfect for sauteing two eggs, his favored use. The non-stick finish is great and the bottom has several bands that help make the heat very even in the pan. All in all, he is very pleased with this pan.

love it! in all sizes-8", 10", and 12.5"
I had bought a 10" size of this a year ago to use in my vacation home and was VERY satisfied. That is why I searched for this 8" and 12.5" sizes to buy for use in my NY home when my stainless steel 8" and 10" skillets stopped performing well(difficult to clean inside and outside).
I LOVE the ease and convenience of these T-Fal Signature saute pans. Nothing sticks-either inside or outside! The red circle pattern in center lets you know when it is preheated before adding food. I followed the instructions before first use: wash in warm soapy water, rinse, dry, then rub inside with a little cooking oil to season. I bought 2 flexible silicone coated pancake turners to use with these saute/frypans, but I had used steel utensils in the one at my vacation home with no problems. T-Fal Signature pans are an excellent value for the price. Amazon.com gave me free shipping and very fast service on these.
There is only one thing I wish these saute pans had:lids. I was able to find suitable...

Great pans
I bought an 8" & a 10" T-Fal Signature fry pan; they're GREAT: nothing sticks, they clean up easily, have even heat distribution; couldn't have gotten a better set of pans. I had read reviews before ordering - all positive &, altho they were backordered, I was willing to wait; I highly recommend these pans.

StirChef SAUCEPAN STIRRER HandsFree StoveTop cooking

Nice idea but worthless
The first thing I made was a marinara sauce, on the lowest possible heat setting. First, the intermittent setting does not work, it continues to stir constantly. Second, within just a few minutes of use, the plastic began to melt and stain beyond recognition. I attempted to contact the manufacturer via the weblink listed on the box, and guess what? It took me to a LAN/Wan support site. I wonder where they went? I emphatically DO NOT recommend this item! Not worth the cost of the batteries!

A Stirring Experience
After visiting six stores and searching the internet, I finally found a deep saucepan with an 8 1/2 inch diameter to handle the not very long arms of the StirChef. Attaching the StirChef to my new 4qt saucepan, I turned it on to stir some chopped vegetables for 10 minutes at low heat. After about 4 minutes the flimsy plastic blades began to melt, adding an interesting but unwanted taste to the vegetables. Well, at least I have a nice new saucepan.

Good - hope there is a "version 2" someday
All in all, not a bad product, and relatively handy if you have other things to do than constantly stir something. If Amazon allowed for half stars, I would have given it only 3.5 instead of 4, but it is better than a 3 star rating.

The unit looks like the picture. The arms have the ability to fold up next to the unit for compact storage. I have no idea what they mean by "spring loaded arms", the three different sized paddles that come with it have bendable tips that allow for a fitting into pans that might not be the exact size of the paddles. They aren't rubber and you don't really want them scraping along the sides of your pan, so you often find yourself going with the smaller paddle, which works just as well to keep things moving. The paddles connect to the unit via the metal rod that has a clip on one end. The rod fits thru the motor part, and at no time is it actually connected; this allows the varying depth. The unit either turns constantly, or intermittently,...

Fox Run Non-Stick 3-Egg Poacher Insert

Non-Stick 3-Egg Poacher Insert Review
This item probably is a fair value for the money, but a few comments are in order:

1. As noted by previous reviewer, eggs do stick unless oil or butter are used. This is likely to be true of all the other "non-stick" poachers as well.

2. By using a fork in one of the three slots, the insert can safely be put into or taken out of a pan of hot water if the pan is not too deep.

3. It's hard to realize from the photo, but the cups are relatively shallow. A large egg will fill them to the brim, increasing the chance of a spill. Extra-large eggs will definitely overfill.

Poacher Review
Produces a nice poached egg. You do have to oil the insert and be very careful not to burn yourself since there's no handles on the insert but it's worth the effort and the cost is right. If you want more from a poacher, pay more.

Just What I Wanted
This is just what I wanted--your basic egg poacher at a reasonable price. It worked great and was easy to clean.

Excellante Third Size 6-Inch Deep 24 Gauge Anti Jam Pans

Thin is in
If you plan on using it in a professional environment, then this may not be for you. That said, employees have a way of destroying anything they get their hands on. Some people are just not careful and are prone to banging things around and denting whatever they touch. Good news everybody! If you use it for your home use like I do, it will out live me. My fridge is eighteen years old and everything that is plastic has broken or shattered. I am using a couple of these pans to organize my fridge. I have a half size and a third size side by side (5/6 size). The fridge wasn't quite wide enough for a full size and not deep enough either. Enough about me, the pan is great for me, and even if I do dent it at some point, I have several hammers that range from a 12 ounce ball peen hammer to a twenty pound sledge. I got the twenty pounder for bragging rights. I have owned it for several years and there isn't a scratch on it :-)

Thin but works

Progressive International 8-Quart Spaghetti Steamer Cooker

Started to rust after first use
I purchased this at a good price thinking I can use it to boil pasta, steam veggies and it works for all those things. My only complaint is that rust spots started to appear after its first use and wash. Since I purchased it at a good price I'm not complaining too much, just be sure to wipe it down after washing and use a good scrubber to scrub out the rust stains while washing.

How can Stainless Steel Rust?
I have used the pot one time and it has already started to rust where the bottom of the pasta strainer comes in contact with the pot itself. If it is stainless steel, how is it rusting?

I will be sending it back!

Stainless except for rust!!
The size is great, the design works well, but after only a few uses, the "stainless steel" is rusting. I'll be returning it.

Great Quality Pan
The description of the pan wasn't clear regarding size however, I decided to purchase since the price was so good.
It was worth the chance - I was expecting a smaller pan - however pleasantly surprised the size was an 8 qt.
The quality of this pan feels good and nice weight to it.

Pyrex Portables Baking Dish with Insulated Carrier, Clear with Black Carrier

Perfect for parties & potlucks
I bought one of these a few years ago and have not regretted it once. I thought it was an impulse buy, but I use this thing all the time. It keeps hot food hot or cold food cold. It travels great without any spills. I've had more people comment on it and want to know where I got it. It's hard to find in the store, so I was happy to find it on Amazon so I could buy it as gifts for friends.

A must-have for potlucks
If you cook main dishes to take places, this is a must-have. The Pyrex casserole and lid are the same as the ones you can buy separately or with other collections: a great oven-to-table-to-fridge piece with no need for foil because of the sealing lid. The hot pack and insulated cover really keep things hot to take with you (still steamy at least 40 minutes out of the oven), and are convenient so you don't have to worry about spills or burns. Simply microwave the hot pack, slip it into its pocket, pop the lid on the casserole and pack it straight from the oven. The handle makes the carrier easy to carry. There is room to pack a serving spoon, etc. There's a place for an ice pack if you're taking something chilled instead, but one is not included.

wonderful pyrex portables from Amazon.com
I bought three and used two for gifts and one for myself. So handy to bring hot items to another home. And friends will notice - you will get ooohs and ahhhs!

Bene Casa Pressure Cooker 7.4 QT

Personal chef loves it for carrying to customers homes with my portable kitchen
I purchased my SS pressure cooker at Freds in Pratville Alabama for $25.00 brnd new. I wasn't expecting all that much out of it for 25 dollars but it has really worked just like my big boy pressure cookers. It is small enough that I can put it in my rolling kitchen w/o it weight too much. I messed up the other day at my house and tried to use it on my outdoor grill to cook hamhocks. It never got hot enough to bring up the steam, but it did get hot enought o melt the release button so now it won't push in enough to release. My husband took it apart for me and I only have to reorder that one button and it should be working back fine.

It's a really good cooker
O'k so here goes, I have never owned a pressure cooker before but this one looked o'k not to many bells a whistles so to speak and when it came the first use was with some trepidation but it did not blow up and the food came out good but the first time is always the learning curve so to speak so I learned that sometimes things take a little longer than the instructions say but that does not me that this is not worth the effort. I made a stew that was heaven and it was done in a hour and I made a spaghetti sauce (vegan) and that was done in forty minutes so weather its a meat dish or not I find add on twenty minutes. I have played with this pot three times and I think its my favorite now, the bottom is good and heavy and the click the lid makes is loud enough to hear so no mistakes. It's a damn good little pot and I love it but there is one thing is the size, mine holds a little under 7 quarts not the 7.4 quarts that is promised but if you can live with it then it's a great pot for...

Home Kitchen Hanging Scrolled Wrought Iron Pot Holder

get rid of small kitchen blues with this rack
Little things can be immensely impactful...this pot rack is but one more proof of that!

We have moved 5 apartments in the past 2-3 years and we have always been amazed at the space saving capacity of this little guy. I bought it when it was slightly cheaper, although even at this price, its a steal, what with its rustic/Tuscan vibe.

The good is that you do end up scrubbing your pots (mine are mostly copper/stainless) a little brighter since you hang em up for display :) The top rack can hold pans with long handles that would otherwise dangle too low.

Make sure you get high capacity drywall hooks(50-35lbs each suffices)to hang it.

If your ceiling is not as high as you might want, just loop the hooks through the chain links where you want the length to be.

I bought this because it fit my country kitchen, but the benefits of a pot-rack are generic. I'd say get any one that suits your style and you will be amazed at the amount of...

Love it!
It hangs beautifully in my kitchen, protecting my pink breast cancer pans from the dreaded "pan cupboard". I used to keep my new pans in the cupboard but they were getting scratched and dented; I had so many. This product is very sturdy and looks wonderful in my kitchen! It's a great buy.

Looks great but can get unbalanced easily
The pot rack looks great in the country kitchen of my 200+ year old cape. I agree with the comment about the chain links being hard to work with. My ceiling is not level, so I had to work extremely hard to bend a single link to about 1/2 length in order to get the rack to hang level.
Another issue is the 2-chain design: If pots are not distributed evenly (by weight) around the rack, it will tip. This is a problem as you remove and replace pots from the rack in the course of cooking. I may be able to rig up some stabilizing chains attached at the lower ends of the metal hoops that hold the horizontal members, but not yet certain how that will impact what is a pleasing visual design.
All in all, a good value, well constructed, but with a design flaw that may turn out to be its downfall (or cause the downfall of the pot lids stored on the horizontal shelf).

Better Houseware Collapsible Tea Kettle, Royal Blue

blue silicone kettle
i really wanted to like this neat tea kettle. the first and not so significant issue was that the royal blue color was not as light/bright as shown on amazon. i'd say the actual color is a shade darker.
the other issue, which called for the return, was that the bottom of the handle was quite prone to overheating/burning. mind you, i set my gas stove between low-medium(directions say low heat), but i didn't like how quickly the silicone material began to actually burn and then turn ashen.
i suppose if you have an electric stove, you are most likely not going to have to worry about burning the silicone.
at least for my situation, i'm hoping to find a kettle that's more practical and worth the price.

Can't say enough good things about.....
this neat little contraption that came into my life. It's the perfect size for a few cups of whatever you make. I am a hot tea lover in the winter and cold tea in the summer. So I don't like a tea pot sitting out in the summer taking up space. This packs away in my drawer perfectly when not need. It is so cute.

great for outdoor use as well
I purchased mine to use for camping and those types of outdoor situations. I tested it over my propane grill and it did an amazing job heating the water. When it is collapsed it is about the size of a dessert plate so it save space in my gear

Emile Henry 8-1/2-Inch Oval Au Gratin Azure Blue

Very nice size for one or two servings.
I enjoy cooking and do most of the cooking for the two of us at home. Recently I've begun buying better kitchen equipment. I always thought glass baking dishes were fine and wondered at the extra expense of dishware like Emile Henry stoneware. Well, I guess sometimes price does matter.

So far I've used these dishes to make fresh vegetable gratins. It seems simpler and more practical to make a nice gratin in one or two of these dishes rather than trying to fill up a standard size baking dish. An added benefit seems to be that the dishes clean up with a short soak and a dish cloth. I've always had to scrub baked on food from oven baking dishes. This must speak to the quality of the porcelain coating.

Wonderful Small Oval Au Gratin
This is another excellent high quality product from Emile Henry. It is small but very useful for a variety of things as I only cook for myself. I also have the next size larger and use that frequently too.

Vision Corning Visionware Amber Saucepan w/ Lid 1 Liter USA

I use this daily!
I prefer a non-toxic pan for cooking which is why I purchased this glass cookware.

For warming or boiling liquids, this piece has been great.

It cleans up nicely when you soak it and scrub it out with a plastic scrubber. I then place it in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning.

I have used Visionware for about 22 years, including this saucepan.

The pan has never failed or exploded on me, and I use this particular one on just about a daily basis.

However, there have been some complaints about exploding Visionware (Google is your friend).

Some incidents can be attributed to thermal shock such as running cool water in a hot pot, or placing the hot item on a cool surface, or putting the cookware on a heat source with no water in it.

Also, if you have chipped, cracked, or scratched cookware, it is recommended that you discard it. Be sure to check the tiny notches on the bottom of the pot. If there are any cracks...

Visionware Amber Saucepan w/Lid, 1 Liter
Vision Corning Visionware Amber Saucepan w/Lid (1 Liter) is the perfect little pan for my cooking style! I was pleasantly surprised to discover Visionware was still available through sellers at Amazon! My mashed potatoes, gravy, soup, etc stay warm even after being on the table during big dinners! Splendid purchase!

Made with a vision
This cookware is still my favorite to use. It doesn't use as much energy to cook food - can turn down the temp after the food heats up and still get the job done fast.

OvenStuff Non-Stick 17.2 by 12.7 by 2.7 Inch Large Roasting Pan with Rack

Size not correctly represented
The item looks nice enough, but it is *NOT* 17.2 inches long . . . that is the *inside* dimension. End to end it is 19 inches, and it will not fit in an oven designed for a standard 18 inch half sheet baking tray.

Measure your oven before ordering . . .

My worst purchase to date!
This is a truly awful product! I wish I could leave zero stars for this. I read some reviews that the paint chipped off, but for some reason, I dismissed them. I figured excess soaking or aggressive scrubbing caused the problem. NOT TRUE!! I babied this pan, gently hand washing it prior to use, sprayed it with cooking spray and placed my thoroughly greased roast on it. As I was basting the roast, I noticed small black flecks in the bottom of the pan, but figured it was seasoning that had burned. When the roast was finished, I picked it up and noticed that half of the black coating on the rack had come off, ruining the roast. When I was washing the rack, light running water caused nearly all of the black coating to flake off. I decided to use a brillo pad to remove the rest of the coating, since what was underneath was a light grey-colored metal that looked like the coating of the pan. I thoroughly hand dried the pan and the rack. A few hours later, I noticed there was rust all over...

Inexpensive, but rusted after the first use
We bought this pan to use for Thanksgiving, but it rusted after the first use. Soaked it overnight to make clean-up easier, woke up in the morning and as we were scrubbing it realized there was rust all over the rack. If you buy it, think of it as a one-time-use pan. It's one step above a disposable aluminum foil pan.

Aluminum Steamer Set #CST10

I like it!
I bought this item about a year ago and I still use it. I can cook an entire meal for three - four people in it and I have no complaints! The only down side is that it is a little too big for my dishwasher but it is easy to hand was, so not a big deal!!

Large capacity
I use this product to make Dim Sum for myself and really like the capacity it has. I can make 21 won-ton size on each level and use the top tray to make the parchment circle; I just place it over the parchment paper and draw a circle then cut it out and fit it after making holes / cuts to allow the steam to pass around. This is a thin walled product so be careful with it, and it is light to lift but the water will make it heavier. I only use the top tier for myself but use both tiers to cook to give the steam space to heat. Because it is Thin Walled the cooking setting must be set buy each buyer for the best experience.

I will have this product along time, my dim sum is too good!

Stainless Steel Whistling Tea Pot, #113518

soft tone whistle- stainless teapot- very pretty
I really wanted a louder whistle so i could hear it in the back room, but it's a soft whistle, and takes a lot of steam to whistle! Stainless is nice, hoping it doesn't rust- not real thick. I empty water each time & let it air dry without lid on. Warning- Never take lid off while it's steaming. You'll burn your hand. AND, if you don't put lid on it, don't pour until you do, or it will burn your hand. That is probably standard for all teapots, but i had to learn the hard way. This is a very pretty teapot- looks nice on the stove. Handle is nice. Keeps hand from getting burned- if you leave the lid on!

Love it, but whistle is very soft
This is a very good quality tea kettle. However, I wonder if something is wrong with the whistle in the lid? It is difficult to hear even in the same room. I almost never boil an entire pot of water. I boil half a pot. But, I am terribly disappointed that I cannot hear the whistle while I am in the other room which is close by. Would I be able to get a new lid to see if that is where the problem is? Has anyone else had this problem?

Great stainless whistling kettle
I was looking for a stainless steel tea kettle with a working whistle under $50. This kettle delivered. It looks like a traditional 'normal' tea kettle and does it's job. I am very happy with this kettle.

Prelude Metallic Smoke 2.1 Quart Whistling Tea Kettle

Stylish Kettle
I've read on another sites, reviews that it doesn't whistle, another said rust in two days. Hey for $19 and free shipping it's hard to beat. Works great, looks great and whistles like a steam engine. It's instructions, as in most kettles say, don't leave water in them, but I do and it hasn't shown any indication of rust. So far so good, I recommend this kettle.

Picture Poor
This kettle is thinly made and can dent easily. The first sign of trouble was when the paper inside said it may rust but its supposed to be made of stainless steel. It says to drain every time. I've used kettles for years and am really unhappy with this one. It doesn't match the picture/description quality that urged me to purchase it.

Not suitable for smooth top range
Yes cheap is the word. Cehap plastic everywhere. The bottom does not rest flat on the range so it is only suitable for gas or coil electrics. Does say this anywhere in the description.

Granite Ware 6414-6 10-Quart Dish Pan

a thousand uses
I have two of these now and use one or both everyday. Washing dishes, doing hand laundry, cleaning vegetables, etc.
It's pretty big and holds a lot. Think up your own uses and you will find it a versatile work horse.
Highly recommended.
I did manage to chip one of mine on the bottom (on some rocks). Three coats of clear nail polish took care of that.

Good Stuff
I use this for a lot of things around the kitchen. Marinating, mixing, carrying, serving and more.
Very useful and should last a long time.

Durable and multipurpose
I needed a pan that could hold hot water so I that I could soak my feet in it, but decided to avoid the much cheaper plastic containers (who knows what kind of crap would leach out). This pan is sturdy and, as others have pointed out, can be used for any number of things. It's a bit on the pricey side, but worth it.

Iwatani ZA-3HP/ZA-3 Cassette-Feu 12,000 BTU Portable Butane Stove

Nice Butane Unit
I have only used it once for dinner last night, but had no problem heating up my wok quickly and keeping it hot. I used the standard GasOne fuel cartridges, worked fine. Machine detail on the burner is pretty. Instructions are well written, and show a decent level of attention to detail.

I had used a MaxBurton type stove a few years ago and I think this one is nicer. It's not super heavy but it is stable and my wok support ring fits in to the outer support groove nicely. Also I can set it on my electric range front and center, and it straddles the burners nicely. I can't use the electric range then of course, but in my small kitchen I don't have to give up counter space to use it, either.

A better make of butane stove.
This portable butane stove is clearly much better made--in Japan, rather than China--than the other cheap ones available elsewhere. The safety features are reassuring, and the thought that went into incorporating the heat transfer plate that keeps the fuel container from losing pressure while cooking and allowing more complete use of the fuel is appreciated. If you think that you will be using such a stove frequently, or in situations where reliability is important, it is worth spending the few extra dollars to buy this stove instead of the cheaper ones.

Works and puts out PLENTY of heat
I used this on a fishing trip recently. Made a hot shore lunch 3 different days. We didn't fry fish, but just heated up soup one day, beef stew one day, and boiled polish sausages one day.

PLENTY of heat coming off this burner. No issues there.

Carry case works well, but I would wish they made a spot
to hold a spare can of butane.

The "Gas One" butane cans worked just fine. I didn't even
use one full can for the 3 shore lunches.

Scanpan Professional Covered Saute Pan 12.5-Inch by 3.5 QT

Scanpan Does Not Honor Their Advertised Warranty
I own 2 of these 11" saute pans which became defective after 1-2 years moderate use.
On 11/15/12 I called Scanpan and described the issues i was having with mine. The representive - named Allen - told me about Scanpan's lifetime warranty. Allen was completely confident that these issues had qualified me to receive new replacement pans. These pans are expensive compared to other leading manufactures of non-stick cookware, so I was glad that the company would replace them.
I followed Allen's instructions on how to send them in, obtaining a return authorization, packing and shipping the pans in to the address provided - though at my cost.
A few weeks went by and i did not receive anything from Scanpan - not even a phone call or email updating me on the status.
So i called on 12/4/12 and spoke to Michael, who informed me that my pans do not qualify and i will have to pay to have them sent back to me. Upon asking to speak to a supervisor Michael told me that he is the...

Scanpan is great.
I have had a set of Scanpan since 1991. Not only does the cookware work well, but in the event it looses its non-stick ability, the manufacture will replace it if it was well cared for. Well worth the money up front.

Best pan yet
Having tried Calphalon, Lodge cast iron and All-Clad pans, in addition to many lesser varieties, this is my favorite pan. Not too heavy, excellent heat distribution, comfortable handle, cleans incredibly easily, no seasoning requirement, looks great without the maintenance requirements of stainless steel, 500 degree heat tolerance, dishwasher safe, allows metal utensils--I could not ask for more, except perhaps less expense. Even though the others are great pans, they cannot compare to this one. I plan on getting more pieces.

GSI Outdoors 3-Quart Convex Kettle (Blue)

I LOVE IT
I bought this pan to take hunting and fishing. We use it to cook our soup beans. I like being able to hang it while the beans cook slowly, as I cook our fish and hoe cake over the open fire. It matches the 20 cup coffee pot (made by the same company). It is just the right size for our beans. Very pleasant to use.

Really Good Camping Pot
I thought it was too small at first but found it to be a great size when we went camping this past weekend. We used it to boil hot dogs, eggs, and chili in it for all the meals. It fit great on the 2-burner Coleman stove. Food cooked up quickly. Unfortunately I didn't continuously stir the chili so the bottom was burned and stuck to the pot. The enamel was not nonstick. I spent a chunk of time scrubbing the caked on food off. It left a blemish in my pot. The minus star is for the metal handle. I wish it was coated to make it handle-able over the heat. I left it wet and now the metal finish doesn't look as shiny anymore.

Cuter than expected!
I ordered this to put with earthquake supplies. It is a perfect size for our needs and is nice and light weight. Plus, it has the cute factor (I know, not important, but if we need to use it some time, it is an upper). I expect it will work well.

Rachael Ray Stoneware 3.5-Quart Covered Square Cassersquare Casserole, Blue

GREAT DISH
THIS CASSEROLE DISH IS LARGE ENOUGH FOR A BIG CASSEROLE. I HAVE ANOTHER ONE BUT IT IS HARD TO HANG ON TO, THIS ONE HAS GREAT HANDLES AND IS VERY EASY TO CARRY.

Endless uses
The greatest feature of this casserole are the handles for easy lifting in and out of oven. The handles make a big plus when washing. Love the sleek lines of her stoneware.

Rachael Ray Stoneware
I love this casserole! It is really great for serving which is what I use it for the most. Really holds a lot and keeps things hot. The color is really pretty, and it is dishwasher safe.

Breville EW30XL Electric Gourmet Wok

Hottest Wok I've Ever Used
This Wok has some serious heat. As a professional chef with Asian style recipes on the menu I've used many a stove top wok. Until now I'd never found an electric wok that could generate enough heat to sear in the flavors of meats and vegetables. Not only does the Breville Electric Wok deliver as much heat as a top of the range stove top wok, its surface is non-stick so I can use less oil for healthier results. Every thing about the wok is clever, from the detachable base, to the dishwasher safe parts, to the cook and look glass lid. Whoever designed this is in to wok cooking in a big way. Very clever, very stylish, very hot.

Great HOT wok - with terrific instructions
I've done a fair amount of stirfry over the years, and for a long time had a professional level one similar to this Breville. Once it died, I did not get another, and anytime I tried to do stirfry on the oven it was a disaster. Even a new pretty powerful $800 gas oven did NOT get the on-the-stove pan hot enough. I would end up 'stewing' the food, and it bore little resemblance to my stirfry's of the past.

I was VERY impressed with the excellent instructions that are provided in the book this comes with. I studied all their tips for an hour, and was amazed at the things I did NOT know, or had forgotten. Someone who never stirfried before could get first rate results by studying just a few pages. Little things are important - I used to just turn it on, and throw in the oil and wait for it to get hot. WRONG! You are supposed to turn it on EMPTY, let it get VERY hot, and only then put in the oil. And I realized I had started to get lazy, and was not doing smaller...

Wok is really hot but what's with the non-stick surface?
I bought this wok based on the reviews posted here. I have to say that I agree that it gets really hot and I am amazed at how well it performs. That being said, I have noticed that the non-stick surface has a lot of surface scratches and I use a plastic spatula. Yesterday, I made Beef Lo Mein and the pan was just as great as beforehand. However, upon washing it up in the sink, I noticed that a piece of the non-stick had peeled off. My experience with that coating suggests that this will continue to occur as I use the appliance more often. This is very disappointing as this is the best performing wok that I have ever used. I'm crossing my fingers hoping that the non-stick won't continue to peel. That would certainly betray the overall performance of an otherwise excellent appliance

Earth Pan Plus Nonstick 10-Piece Cookware Set, Bronze

Used for a week nicely but durability/size issues for skillets
Pros:

* REALLY, REALLY nice looking set
* Insulated handles means you don't need pot holders
* Excellent even heat distribution
* Non-skillets work problem free
* Transparent glass lids? Nice.
* No PTFE or PTOA means no potential Teflon deterioration contamination problems

Cons:

* Potential durability problem with the skillets (see updates at bottom on this issue)
* You'll have to learn to cook on low to medium heat as recommended (not really a "con")
* Both skillets are small, only 1/2 inch difference in flat bottom

I've been using these for a week since I received them. You might want to consider buying a single skillet, or pot, to see if these are suitable for your kitchen, then get a full set if you are pleased. A motivation for a lot of people has to do with the potential health issues of the deterioration of Teflon - this set...

Better than copper bottomed pans
In testing out this cookware set, I was comparing them to my previous set, which are copper bottomed pans. All in all, I found that these pots/pans cooked more evenly than the copper bottomed pans. When I boiled water in these pans, they boiled more evenly and stayed boiling better at a lower temperature.

What I didn't like about this cookware set:
-First of all, there is no lid that fits the bigger pan - which is frustrating because many of my recipes, you're supposed to cover them while you cook. Good thing we still had the copper bottom pans & lids to use.
-Second, cleaning them was very easy - except I noticed that if any food got up by the fasteners on the inside of the pan, the food got stuck underneath the fasteners very easily, but was not so easy to clean out.
-Third, the pans are small - the smallest is good for scrambled eggs or the like, the other is good for maybe 1/2 lb of ground beef. We tried fixing a recipe that had a pound of ground beef and...

STAY AWAY
I have used the small frying pan, at most, 15 times. The coating is starting to peel off!!! I guess everyone was right about this product - should have listened and stayed away. But it is not too late for you!!

Update International NSSM-6 Medium Mesh Stainless Steel Noodle Strainer, 5-1/2-Inch

Mesh too large
The wire mesh is too large for my use and allows some of the smaller seeds to fall through the mesh.

Must for Noodle Lover
This is good strainer for all kinds of noodles. The quality is not super but I only paid $6 for the strainer and not looking for a supreme quality.

Enclume 54-Inch Ceiling-Mount Pot Rack

make the kitchen look custom
Very well built. I like looking at it, and it comes with plenty of hooks. We have tried a 32" rack and our kitchen island was way too big.
With a single 52" hanging platform, it gives me an option to still have room to put lighting over the island.

JUST what I wanted!
Sick and tired of the oval pot racks you see everywhere, but don't have a 5K budget for the really fancy pot racks? Go with the Enclume. It is a straight bar, solid and very well made. Not hard to hang, as it will go OK either from stud or from the ceiling between the studs. I did get the little covers for the hooks (sold separately) and they are worth it. This thing is SOLID!

Ethical 5-Inch Paw Print White Stoneware Dish

perfect cat bowl
My older cat has no trouble at all eating from this dish. It is heavy enough not to slide around, large enough so she can get to the food easily, and all the edges are smooth. I plan to purchase another one for the water soon.

Holds up to microwave and dishwasher
I use this one for cat's water, and two of the 5" with tapered sides and a lower profile for their food. I have put these little bowls through the micro, the dishwasher and they often soak in the sink between feedings. My kids have been known to toss their dishes in right on top of them and so far no cracks or chips in the stoneware. The paw print design hasn't faded or rubbed, it still looks new after several months. The image here is true to life with the white being a bright white the colors being vivid primary colors.

Granite Ware 6141-4 7.5 Quart Pasta Pot

Granite Ware 7 1/3 Quart Pasta Pot
Very Disappointed. The insert sits too high off of the bottom, forcing you to use more water than if it was close to the bottom. The drain holes in the bottom are way too big. The center hole is so large I put a cork in it to plug it up. There are 6 other larger holes surrounding the center one which are just a bit smaller. Interspersed on the sides and bottom are collander sized drain holes as well. The big holes allow macaroni to flow out freely forcing you to use a collander anyway. I tried it with spahgetti and lost a fair amount of it through the holes as well. Why would anybody design a pasta pot this way? Not very bright is the only term I can think off.

Enameled Pasta Pot
Lovely piece of cookware if you don't intend to cook pasta in it. The only thing it is any good for is to steam LARGE pieces of veggies or meat. The holes in the liner are so large that the only pasta that wouldn't fall through would maybe be lasagna noodles.

Graniteware Pasta Pot
I am replacing all my stainless and non-stick cookware with graniteware and cast iron since becoming aware of the toxic hazards in stainless steel and teflon. Even my expensive stainless stockpots are going to the garage sale since anything acidic like salt or tomatoes or vinegar breaks out chemicals in the steel. The graniteware pasta pot is perfect for pasta and makes a good stock pot too. I like the graniteware because it is light, cleans up so easily, is inexpensive, and is the best way to deep fry. [...]

GSI Outdoors 12-Inch Aluminum Dutch Oven (Silver, 5-Quart)

Good For Camping
I took it camping and it performed well. Holds heat and allows you to cook low and slow. I did a stew and even managed to cook bannock bread in it.

Great dutch oven!
I love this dutch oven. This is actually my second one. I used both last night to cook using charcoal and they work perfect. I have read some reviews that say these ovens are more likely to have hot spots, but I have not experienced that. They cook just as well as any cast iron oven I have used in the past. I love how light they are and the fact that you can wash them. Being aluminum, you won't have to worry about rust. No hesitation recommending this oven.

"sweet" aluminum dutch oven
10 inch aluminum Dutch oven. Nicely tooled lid. High quality aluminum. Designed to nest in the GSI 12 inch aluminum Dutch oven. Very light. Will last a lifetime.

Woll Diamond Plus 12.5-Inch Fry Pan with Lid

Woll Diamond Plus Fry Pan
This pan is great!!! It requires minimal or no oil, heats up quickly, and retains the heat well. I'd highly recommend it!

Beware Woll's Product Literature--this pan is NOT thick
Woll's main catalogue for the USA claims that this pan has a 10mm thick bottom. It does not. It's more like 5 mm thick. It feels lightweight and cheap.

As Woll states (see below), thicker pans distribute heat much more evenly, and thicker pans will not warp. Thinner pans always seem to warp quickly, even if you religiously avoid temperature shocks and cook only on medium, and a warped or distorted pan is a problem on a glass top. Warping and heat distribution are issues for me. I wanted a thick pan. I will return this pan for the titanium, which is claimed to be 8 mm thick.

Woll's erroneous/false claims, which I relied upon, can be found in their catalogue on their website or you can get to that portion of their site by searching for "Main catalogue USA Canada - WOLL cookware".

Sample quotes from Woll's current catalogue:

"The pan series Diamond's Best was awarded a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva as...

Love it
Even cooking. Can brown & the bake in oven in same pan. No matter what I cook in it, pan cleans easily.

Sitram Profiserie 9.5-Inch Commercial Stainless Steel Fry Pan

Great Quality & No Dirty Rivets!
As a part-time chef I own and use lots of so called "professional" cookware.
The nice thing about Sitram specifically is the fact that most of their better lines do not have rivets.
Not having rivets through the cooking surface qualifies this cookware to be NSF certified. Old, dirty food
particles get caught up in the crevice around the rivet. This crud is unclean, and very difficult to really ever get out of the pan.
So next time you eat out hopefully your restaurants kitchen is using rivetless cookware! Sitram is the worlds largest commercial stainless cookware company for a reason. All stainless cookware has coloring after being used, especially on a gas stove. This is very normal. The main difference in the Profisserie line and more upgraded line is that the the base model has a stainless subbase under the stainless surface versus a copper base. As I stated at the beginning I own lots of cookware including quite a bit of AllClad, some very old US made...

Easy to clean, brilliant heat retention
This thing is solid. The copper bottom is definitely as important as the product description is trying to convince you. The shape is great for jumping the items in the pan when sauteeing, and I love to use it for pan roasting. So easy to clean, essentially impossible to scorch. Solid. Buy the saucier too.

Never had any problems
I've been using Sitram for several years, and I've never had any problems. The stuff is built for the food industry - no frills and no fancy packaging, but it will stand up to use and abuse.

The company changed hands a couple of years ago, and for a little while during the transition their customer service was suffering. Don't let that detract you from buying this cookware.

(My only beef is that they've discontinued the Magnum Pro line, which was the only copper-based line that also worked on induction. Dear Sitram/Freiling folks - please, oh please bring it back).
